Javier Matías Pastore (born 20 June 1989) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Argentina national football teamas an attacking midfielder.

He started his career with Talleres and then Huracán in his native Argentina before moving to Serie A team Palermo in 2009 for a fee of reported €4.7 million.^[1] In 2011Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain bought him for a reported €39.8 million.^[1]

David Josué Jiménez Silva (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈβið xoˈswe xiˈmeneθ ˈsilβa]; born 8 January 1986) is a Spanish footballer who plays forManchester City and the Spanish national team. Silva plays mainly as anattacking midfielder but has also played as a winger or a second striker on some occasions.

A Spanish international since the age of 20, he was an integral member of the squads that won three consecutive international tournaments – UEFA Euro 2008, 2010 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2012 – the first time a European team has achieved such a feat.

Silva spent six years of his professional career with Valencia CF, appearing in more than 150 games and winning one Copa del Rey, before moving in the summer of 2010 to Manchester City. His consistently excellent performances have earned the nickname "Merlin" due to his passing ability and possession-retaining qualities.^[2] Since joining City, Silva has appeared in over 100 games in two seasons, winning the FA Cupand Premier League.

Mesut Özil (German pronunciation: [ˈmeːzut ˈøːzil], Turkish pronunciation: [me̞ˈsut ˈø̞zil]) (born 15 October 1988) is a German footballer who plays for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and the Germany national football team. Özil has been a youth national team member since 2006, and a member of the German national team since 2009. He gained international attention during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was nominated for the Golden Ball Award, which is awarded to the tournament's best player. Following his breakout performance at the World Cup, he was transferred from Werder Bremen to Real Madrid in August 2010.
